The Center for Educational Computing Initiatives (CECI)

The Center for Educational Computing Initiatives (CECI) was created in March 1991 to advance the state-of-the-art in the use of computation and communication technologies in education. Towards this end, CECI undertakes research and development in the application of computing and communication technologies that improve the effectiveness of learning and teaching.
CECI undertakes sponsored research that:
- Explores new technologies that might be useful in education;
- Creates new educational software applications; and,
- Studies the effectiveness of educational knowledge in meeting the goals of students and teachers.
